Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts runs on volunteer power. From ushering and taking tickets to welcoming guests at the front desk, our volunteers help create a warm, memorable experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
Opportunities Include
We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with:
- Ushering and ticket taking
- Guest services and front desk support
- Administrative support
- Community outreach
- Bartending
- Summer camps
- Special events
- And more
How to Get Started
All volunteers must complete the following process before serving:
- Submit a volunteer application
- Attend a volunteer orientation (held quarterly)
- Pay a $25 fee for, and successfully pass, a background check conducted on behalf of SCCA
- Meet with assigned staff and complete any role-specific training
- Participate in annual training
Important Information
Court-ordered volunteer applicants are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Submission of an application and completion of orientation or a background check do not guarantee placement. Volunteers are accepted and serve at the discretion of Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts, and volunteer service may be discontinued at any time.
