Donate to Support the Arts

Your donation is an investment in people – in children and adults who have the thrill of experiencing the arts. Your contribution, no matter the amount, makes an impact and supports arts education programs not only at the Suffolk Center, but in schools, homes and our community.

Donate to Support the Arts!

Donate to Capital Campaign

The building that houses the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts is 100 years old. Extensive repairs are necessary to continue to preserve the building because of damage caused by significant leaks. Both the interior and exterior have sustained substantial damage.

We need your help to make these critical repairs! We must raise $4.5 million for these urgent renovations, and although we’ve made substantial progress toward our fundraising goal, we need your support to finish the project. The Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts is a nonprofit organization, and we rely on donors—people like you—to keep our doors open, to keep our theater and galleries running, to continue our education programs, and to maintain our historic building for the next 100 years.

Most of us would like to think we’ve made a difference as we’ve gone through life.  It is important to leave a legacy, something good that will continue after our lifetime.

There is an act of generosity that can transform lives forever.  For many people it is the most satisfying, and exciting, donation they’ll ever make.

It is a charitable gift in their will.

The Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts has established the  Legacy Society to recognize those who have left a bequest to the Center in their estate plans.   This extraordinary group of people have the vision to ensure this vibrant arts venue will be available for generations to come.

Jimmy Spain Education Fund

William J. (Jimmy) Spain was one of the first Suffolk Center board members and a major donor who believed strongly in art education.  Upon his death in 2011, he left a major gift that was used to establish the Jimmy Spain Education Fund.  Thanks to his generosity, this fund makes possible a myriad of educational opportunities from student scholarships to resources to enhance our educational programming.

We welcome donations to the Jimmy Spain Education Fund to continue his legacy of excellence in art education for students of all ages.

Naming Opportunities

When a person becomes engaged with the arts, the experience leaves a lasting mark—in the form of confidence, discipline, creativity and skills to succeed in life. Our generous donors have the opportunity to leave their lasting mark through a variety of naming opportunities.

When you purchase a Naming Opportunity, you let all of our visitors know that you, your loved one or your business value and support the positive impact of the arts on our community. As a token of the lasting value that your gift will have in the lives of your neighbors, a permanent plaque with your chosen inscription will be placed in the Center.
