Community Theater at The Suffolk Center brings local talent to the stage, creating opportunities for performers and creatives to connect through shared storytelling. Through inclusive casting and collaborative productions, this program aims to celebrate the performing arts while strengthening Suffolk’s creative community.

Director’s Note
There are 9 roles in Cinderella as well as a vast ensemble. The audition will include “cold” readings from the script, located HERE and please prepare 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the show. If you need an  accompanist, please let us know. 
 

VIDEO AUDITIONS will not be looked at on a case to case basis. Only in-person attendees will be considered for roles.

Performances: August 21 2026 – August 30, 2026

Friday and Saturday shows begin at 8:00PM. Saturday matinees begin at 2:30PM Sunday matinees begin at 2:30PM.

Synopsis
Cinderella: Enchanted Edition brings the beloved fairy tale to life with a fresh, theatrical lens inspired by the iconic 1997 production. With expanded musical selections and a more dynamic portrayal of its characters, this version highlights Cinderella’s strength, wit, and sense of self as she navigates adversity, transformation, and the possibility of something more.

How To Audition

Auditions for Community Theater productions at The Suffolk Center are held in person on scheduled dates.

Interested performers should complete the audition form in advance or upon arrival at auditions. The form includes basic information, availability, and any relevant experience.

Auditions may include prepared monologues, cold readings, or both, depending on the production. Materials and additional instructions will be provided ahead of time.

We encourage performers of all experience levels to audition.

FAQ

Do I need to complete the form before auditions?
While it is strongly recommended to fill out the form in advance, forms can be completed online ahead of time or in person when you arrive. You will not be considered for a part without a complete form.

Are auditions in person or virtual?
All auditions are held in person. Video submissions are not accepted unless otherwise noted.

What should I prepare?
Preparation requirements vary by production and will be shared in advance. Some auditions may include monologues or cold readings. We recommend you read through the audition form. 

Do I need prior experience?
No. Community Theater at The Suffolk Center welcomes performers of all experience levels.

Is there an age requirement?
Age requirements vary by production and will be listed in the audition details.
