As the Barry Art Museum undergoes an expansion project through 2027, select pieces from its collection will be shared with audiences beyond the museum walls. This special exhibition provides visitors with an opportunity to experience exceptional examples of contemporary glass art here in Suffolk.

Pieces are viewable on the first and second floors during Gallery Hours.

About the Collection

Known for its collection of contemporary glass by internationally recognized artists, the Barry Art Museum has helped bring greater visibility to the art form throughout Hampton Roads. This exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to experience works from that collection here in Suffolk.

About the Barry Art Museum

Located on the campus of Old Dominion University, the Barry Art Museum is home to an extensive collection of American modernist paintings, contemporary glass sculpture, historic dolls, and rotating exhibitions.

The museum is currently closed for expansion construction through 2027 as it prepares to welcome visitors to an enhanced facility and expanded exhibition spaces.
