Class Description:
Children will be introduced to the basic techniques of working with clay in a structured, supportive environment. Students will learn foundational hand-building skills, including shaping, joining, and simple surface decoration.
During the first three sessions, students will create a series of small projects while practicing these techniques. The focus is on developing familiarity with the material, building confidence, and encouraging individual expression.
The fourth class will be shorter* and centered on sharing completed work. Students will have an opportunity to present their pieces to the group and briefly talk about their process. Refreshments will be provided during this informal showcase.
All materials and supplies are provided.
* 4TH CLASS WILL BE 45 MINUTES LONG. Parents are welcome to attend the informal showcase.
