Teen Acting

Class Description: 

Designed for middle and high school students, this class introduces foundational acting skills including vocal projection, physicality, improvisation, and emotional truth. Emphasis is placed on teamwork, creativity, and self-confidence in performance. 

Acting Class Attire:
Students should wear comfortable clothing that allows for full movement. 

Recommended:
• Leggings, athletic pants, dance shorts, or leotards
• Fitted t-shirts or tank tops
• Hair secured away from the face 

Footwear:
• Jazz shoes or dance sneakers
• Clean indoor athletic sneakers if dance shoes are not available 

Please avoid: 

  • Jeans or restrictive clothing
    • Street shoes or sandals, and socks w/o grips
    • Large or dangling jewelry 

Students should also bring a water bottle to class. 

Teens and Adults should also bring a journal/notebook to class and a pocket folder to keep scenes, monologues, and handouts in)
