I have been an international practitioner-scholar of leadership and human interaction for over thirty years. My career started at the Wharton School of Business, where I directed the leadership communication program. While at Wharton, I was commissioned by the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) to develop an international leadership program for their MBA and Executive MBA students. I served as Director and Lead Faculty of the program until 2017. My work at RSM allowed me to interact with over 200 executive students representing more than forty countries each year, helping me develop a deep appreciation for the influence of culture on human development and organizational behavior, and heightening my commitment to creating and sustaining diverse, inclusive, and compassionate social systems. I have used my international experience to help organizations from around the globe align human processes, operational procedures, and budgetary realities in support of organizational missions and visions. I am committed to the fact that diversity, when accepted, appreciated, and celebrated, is an organization’s greatest asset. This commitment helps me thrive in dynamic, sometimes contentious interactions among multiple stakeholders and successfully navigate them to achieve mutually beneficial, collaborative initiatives. I am honored that the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts Foundation’s Board has placed the future of such a magnificent facility in my hands and am overly excited about using the Center as an asset in helping our downtown realize all the potential the city of Suffolk has to offer. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my amazing wife and daughter, the centers of my universe. If time permits, I also enjoy trying to hit a little white ball around sprawling green acres in hopes of finding little round holes in the ground. I received a B.A. from California State University, Fullerton, M.A. from Temple University, and Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
