Join Suffolk Tourism, in partnership with the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts, as they proudly present A Blockbuster Summer at the Center, a series of three blockbuster adventure films. The series concludes on Sunday, August 13, 2023, when Top Gun: Maverick comes to the big screen. Admission is $2 per person, and the movie will begin at 2pm.

After more than 30 years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pet Mitchell is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot. “Maverick” returns to the Navy Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor program (TOPGUN), where he must confront his past as he trains a group of younger pilots, among them the son of Maverick’s deceased best friend, “Goose.” The all-star cast includes Tom Cruise, Jon Hamm, Miles Teller, Val Kilmer, Glen Powell, and Jennifer Connelly. This 2022 action drama is rated PG-13 and has a running time of 130 minutes.

James Bond, legendary agent 007, has left active service. His peace is short-lived when Felix Leiter, an old friend from the CIA, turns up asking for help, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology. The all-star cast includes Daniel Craig, Ana de Armas, Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch, Ralph Fiennes, and Jeffrey Wright. This 2021 action thriller is rated PG-13 and has a running time of 163 minutes.

Prince T’Challa returns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country’s new king. When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with the C.I.A. and members of Wakandan special forces to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war. The all-star cast includes Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyongo’o, Letitia Wright, and Angela Bassett. This 2018 adventure thriller is rated PG-13 and has a running time of 134 minutes.

This is the foot-stomping story that traces the meteoric rise of the legendary British rock band, Queen, and lead singer Freddie Mercury, who defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers in history. The cast includes Rami Malek, Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, and Joseph Mazzello. This 2018 biographical drama is rated PG-13 and has a running time of 134 minutes.

Class Detail: In this relaxing class you will be led you step-by-step in creating a beautiful Mandala design on beautiful stones. All of the materials you need are provided: natural beach stones, colorful paint pens, and inspiration! Learn a new technique and enjoy the fun workshop.
