This year’s theme focuses on exotic and endangered wildlife. The exhibition features two Artists, photographer Bonnie Horne and painter Bobbi Gunn as well as showcasing the works of an additional 30+ Artists. The exhibition will bring awareness to these animals and the importance of conservation in the community to identify species that are on the verge of extinction and to build the road to recovery to bring them back.
An endangered animal can be classified as any type of animal species that is threatened by extinction. This is contributed to three main reasons: loss of habitat, loss of genetic variation, and poaching. To protect these animals The Endangered Species Act was put into place. Implemented in 1973 this act provides a framework to conserve and protect endangered animals and habitats both domestically and abroad.
Our award-winning art galleries are FREE & Open to the public, Tuesdays – Saturdays, 10 AM – 4 PM.
