Exhibition Summary

Kenny King is a Southern artist celebrated for his watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media paintings that vividly portray the coastal and rural landscapes of Virginia, North Carolina, and the Outer Banks. Growing up in the South fostered his deep appreciation for nature, which inspired his recurring themes of wildlife, farm life, and coastal scenery. King’s artwork has been showcased in numerous galleries, including the Charles H. Taylor Arts Center as well as the Suffolk Art Gallery. As well as showcasing his art, he also shares his expertise by teaching watercolor classes at museums and from his studio in Franklin, Virginia.

This will include free entry, hors d’oeuvres, cash bar and a chance to meet and greet with the featured artist Victoria Weiss.

Art of Wine Dinner, Friday, May 29, 2026, 6:00pm-8:00pm

Gallery Lounge, 1st floor

This will include wine parings, chef-curated four-course dinner, and a wonderful discussion with the featured artist Kenny King. The wine is matched to four of King’s featured pieces, the courses are then curated by a chef to complement the selections- both the wine and artwork- then, the complete meal is presented to you amongst the artwork.

Art will also be on sale and a portion of the proceeds will go to support our mission of creating access to the arts.

Art of Wine Series

Join us for an unforgettable dining experience where the culinary arts meet the visual arts and storytelling.
First Event – Opening Reception with free entry, hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar. Artwork will be available for purchase.
Second Event – Art of Wine Dinner (Food and Wine Pairing with the artwork)
This will include wine parings, four-course dinner and a wonderful discussion with the featured artist. Artwork will be available for purchase.
$60 per person ticket, with dinner and wine pairings included. Please include dietary restrictions during dinner reservations. Gratuity not included.
