Donate to Support the Arts

Your donation is an investment in people – in children and adults who have the thrill of experiencing the arts. Your contribution, no matter the amount, makes an impact and supports arts education programs not only at the Suffolk Center, but in schools, homes and our community.

Donate to Capital Campaign

The building that houses the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts is 100 years old. Extensive repairs are necessary to continue to preserve the building because of damage caused by significant leaks. Both the interior and exterior have sustained substantial damage.

We need your help to make these critical repairs! We must raise $4.5 million for these urgent renovations, and although we’ve made substantial progress toward our fundraising goal, we need your support to finish the project. The Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts is a nonprofit organization, and we rely on donors—people like you—to keep our doors open, to keep our theater and galleries running, to continue our education programs, and to maintain our historic building for the next 100 years.

  • providing our community with a facility for the arts and a venue for community gatherings,
  • providing multi-cultural education programs, performances, and activities for diverse audiences, and

Jimmy Spain Education Fund

William J. (Jimmy) Spain was one of the first Suffolk Center board members and a major donor who believed strongly in art education.  Upon his death in 2011, he left a major gift that was used to establish the Jimmy Spain Education Fund.  Thanks to his generosity, this fund makes possible a myriad of educational opportunities from student scholarships to resources to enhance our educational programming.

We welcome donations to the Jimmy Spain Education Fund to continue his legacy of excellence in art education for students of all ages.
