Class Detail: An adult community chorus embodies the definition of community by being a collection of singers of all voice types and skill levels, coming from various backgrounds and walks of life combining to create a beautiful tapestry of vocal music. This inaugural, non-auditioned chorus will enjoy rehearsing and performing various styles of music including classical, contemporary, Broadway, both accompanied and a cappella. It will be a common goal of the organization to create performances not only for the enjoyment of the audience, but also for the personal enrichment of each individual singer. We will have opportunities to share this common love of singing with the community in which we thrive.

Ages: Children ages 7-17

Registration required. Space is limited and classes are subject to participation minimums. Register online up to a week prior to a session starting or by calling 757-923-0003.

Class Detail: Children from the ages of seven to seventeen will have the opportunity to use their voices to create beautiful, harmonious music. Allow your student to be a part of an ensemble that will challenge them as well as grow them as people and as lovers of music. The children will learn to work with others, identifying different pitches, learning how to read music, as well as learning proper vocal techniques. The director, Gavin Harper, comes with a background in working with children’s choirs to University and adult choirs. This chorus will perform out at venues in the community as well as at the Suffolk Center. Join us as we begin to create music and spark the artistic side of the next generation.
