LOVE LOCAL Food!
The Suffolk Ruritan Club is bringing their world-famous BBQ, with coleslaw & baked beans to Red, White & Brews. As a BONUS, the Suffolk Ruritan Club is offering a FREE BBQ DINNER to Veterans, Active Military & First Responders that purchase a ticket! “The Ruritan’s are all about helping our Veterans and we are honored to provide them with a down-home BBQ dinner.” shared Jimmy Franks, Suffolk Ruritan Club.
LOVE LOCAL Beverages!
LOVE LOCAL will showcase local Craft Beers by MoMac Brewing and Nanesmond Brewing Station before the show and during the two intermissions. Both breweries are offering free tastings and pours for purchase. Local favorite Three Brothers Distillery will create two signature craft cocktails for guests to imbibe: ‘Lover’s Punch’ and ‘Fall Into Love’.
LOVE LOCAL Bands!
Red, White & Brews features performances by three local bands: JUST US, COOL TONES and STOLEN. Each group is so proud to be apart of this Veterans Day Celebration and eager to share their favorite songs with concertgoers on the Suffolk Center’s BirdSong Theater stage.
JUST US will have guests singing along to Classic Country – songs by Merle Haggard, George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, and Alabama. JUST US Band member Bill Daughtry shared that the group has been practicing non-stop and they can’t wait to play their favorite song … ‘The next one on the playlist.”
THE COOL TONES deliver Classic Rock, with crowd favorites by Van Morrison and Steely Dan. Tim Daniel said the band’s favorite song to perform is Neil Young’s classic ‘Cinnamon Girl’. The Suffolk Center even installed a special dance floor knowing The Cool Tones performance would release the urge to shake a leg. Adding that they are super excited to be playing in honor of our veterans.
STOLEN is the third band to take the stage with their ‘Acoustic Everything’ style. Patrons will love hearing favorites by Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, and Jimmy Buffet. Win Winslow shared the band’s favorite song is Jamey Johnson’s ‘In Color’ but no show would be complete without the Zac Brown Band’s ‘Chicken Fried’. All three bands will share the stage for an extra special heartfelt tribute to all our Veterans, Active Military and First Responders.
