Visual Art Camp
June 17-21, 2024
Art campers will explore the world’s continents through art-making activities. They’ll start in Africa, making African masks and mud cloth of Mali bags. Then they’ll travel to Asia to learn Japanese origami, Chinese calligraphy, and Korean Bojagi patchwork. Europe is next, with self-portraits and still life painting. Then they’ll head down under to Australia to experience Aboriginal dot painting and traditional weaving. Finally, they’re off to the Americas to explore pop art and Haida printing. Campers will showcase their art works to family and friends in special end-of-camp exhibit.
