The Joy of Painting – The Experience Continues
Class Description: Have you ever wanted to learn how to paint but were afraid to get in a class only to find out the teacher expected you to already have the skills and talent? Joy of Painting is a safe place to try out oil painting without pressure or high expectations. Instructor, Beth Blanchard, gives individual instruction and help based on where you are and what you want to accomplish. Learn how to use the oil medium, mix colors, create depth and light in your work, identify interesting compositions, and implement exciting brushwork. Experienced painters, come, bring your paints and supplies, and enjoy the fellowship of other mature artists in the class who have been painting for years and ask for help only as needed. Beginner painters, come with a photo for reference, a canvas or art panel, and a set of brushes. The instructor will give her recommendations for paints and mediums at the first class. Drawing skills are not required. Come, relax, and enjoy the art of oil painting.
