Black Patriot: A visit with James Fayette

Interpreter Steven Alexander takes you on a journey through the life of a true American hero, James Fayette (commonly known as James Armistead Lafayette). James’ relationship with Major General Lafayette is highlighted as he tells of the unlikely friendship of two patriots: One of noble birth and the other born enslaved. They conspired together for the freedom of the nation. They conspired together for the freedom of one man. They miraculously reunited in old age. Hear this heartwarming story of patriotism, friendship, and of freedom!

This performance is approximately 45 minutes long.
