Job Description

Cultural Arts is seeking qualified, enthusiastic applicants for their next Marketing Manager position. We are seeking
a professional, innovative, and skilled marketer who will help develop the Suffolk Center’s brand and marketing
strategy, as well as coordinate the content creation for print and digital media campaigns, email, social media, events
and more to ensure we meet the established goals. The successful candidate will:

• Possess strong attention to detail with the ability to be flexible, work independently and meet deadlines

Responsibilities
• In collaboration with the Executive Director and Center Directors, build and maintain a strong and
consistent brand through a wide range of online and offline marketing channels..
• Under the supervision of the Center’s Creative Director, manage the conception, design, copy writing,
production and coordination of all marketing, communications and advertising, as well as maintenance of
website and management of all social media.
• Under the supervision of the Center’s Creative Director, develop and manage the Center’s various
marketing campaigns.
• Track and analyze the performance of advertising campaigns, managing the marketing budget and ensure
that all marketing material is in line with our brand identity.
Requirements
• College degree with at least 2 years of experience in work related field preferred
• Proven experience in turning creative ideas into effective advertising projects
• Demonstrated ability in using social media marketing tools
• Demonstrated efficiency with performing minor web-based tasks
• Demonstrated efficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Mac platform
• Demonstrated familiarity with using a few types of marketing tools, such as:
o Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Tools
o Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Tools
o Data and Analytics Reporting Tools
o Social Media Tools
o Content Creation Tools
o Email Marketing Tools
o Lead Generation and Capture Tools
o Marketing Automation Tools
• Demonstrated efficiency in a variety of content creation styles and platforms so that they can tailor their
strategies to better attract different audiences
• Demonstrated ability to optimize Search Engine Tools to monitor and analyze data related to membership
generation, engagement tracking,
• Demonstrated ability in automating online tools and platforms a plus
This is a full-time, permanent position within the Suffolk Center. Evening and weekend hours are sometimes

The Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts is the premier visual and performing arts venue for Suffolk and Western
Tidewater. Our mission is to cultivate and promote the creative arts for all residents and visitors through programs
and education. Located in the heart of downtown Suffolk, our historic building houses a 500-seat theater, where we
host concerts, dance performances, dramatic works, films, lectures, and so much more. The Suffolk Center is home
to two art galleries, which host an ever-changing array of visual art exhibitions. The Center has a robust educational

more, and we host summer camps and send artists to local schools to bring the arts to young people. We are a
