Class Description:  New artists and those who want to learn more about how to use the color wheel to mix vibrant to muted colors for a more exciting piece of artwork will get step-by-step instructions during this class. We will also experiment with the limited Zom Palette to create a painting during this session.   Students will need the following supplies and materials:  Paint Colors: Burnt Umber, Cadmium Red Light, Alizarin Crimson, Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Yellow, Yellow Ochre, French Ultramarine, Manganese (blue), Titanium White, Ivory Black, Di oxazine Purple (optional)

Class Description:   Each of these classes is an adventure in working with precious metal clay.  Art Clay Silver is a great product specially formulated for objects that can be created and fired on the same day with outstanding results.  Art Clay Silver is pure fine silver (.999) mixed with water and an organic binder.  It is soft and easy to work with simple tools.  Once it is fired at 1550 degrees for 45 minutes the product is .999 fine silver.  Art Clay silver is available in several formulations such as syringes, paste, silver-coated paper, and overlay paste. Art Clay Silver projects can be combined with ceramics, glass fusions, kiln-fired enameled, and torch enameled. 

Art Clay Copper is a great product specially formulated for objects that can be created and fired on the same day with outstanding results.  Art Clay Copper is pure copper mixed with water and an organic binder.  It is soft and easy to work with simple tools.  Once it is fired at 1778 degrees for 30 minutes the product is pure Copper.  Art Clay Copper projects can be polished, patinated, kiln-fired enameled, and/or torch enameled. 

The creative possibilities are endless.  Art clay copper and Art clay bronze are also available.  The techniques covered in this class include how to manipulate the clay, techniques to make attachments, using a variety of textures and molds, finishing, sanding techniques, and how to make simple repairs.  We will create a variety of silver jewelry and/or other decorative objects for functional use in other projects. No previous experience is necessary.  All levels are welcome.  All supplies and materials are provided.
