VIRTUAL ART EDUCATION

The Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts present the “Virtual Art Education” Program. With help from generous donors and grant funding, we are excited to launch this new project! Students in our community and farther can experience art training, whether it’s visual, performing, culinary, or any other form from the comfort of their own home. Students of all ages will have the opportunity to learn at their own pace from professional instructors. New episodes coming every week!

ART WITH JORDIE

Jordie DiFernando is a local artist specializing in abstract art work. She creates easy art tutorials that anyone can do at home. Her video topics include: Abstract, Drawing, Collages, Mosaics, and more!

DANCING WITH MRS. EDWARDS

It’s time to get moving! Mrs. Edwards comes with years of experience in a variety of different styles of dance.  There are videos for all ages and all skill levels from beginner-advanced. Get some space, grab some water, get active!

BILINGUAL JINGLES WITH MR. CARL

‘BILINGUAL JINGLES WITH MR. CARL’ features Carlton Baker, a local musician, performer, and teacher. You will learn basic Spanish words, all while making music! Come sing and learn some Spanish! Check out his videos!

PRESCHOOL TIME WITH KRISTI

Do you have a preschooler at home? Time to get crafty with Kristi! Kristi is a preschool teacher who loves to create art! These crafts are easy and fun to do with your preschooler at home. Check out these fun videos!

COOKING WITH CJ

Are you hungry? Ciara Alexander and her son, CJ, create delicious easy recipes for the whole family to make and enjoy together! You will learn how to make recipes like Not-Cho Ordinary Nachos, Veggie Stir-Fry, Smoothies, & much more! Grab an apron and get cooking!

JACKIE’S THEATER: ACTING TIPS

Lights! Camera! Action! Jackie Alazas brings you acting tips in a fun and exciting way! Jackie is graduating with an MFA in Acting and shares her experience to help you become a better actor! Learn stage make-up, audition prep, and more!

JACKIE’S THEATER: STUFFED STORY TIME

Come hear classic stories like The Lion & The Mouse and The Boy Who Cried Wolf that tell of great virtue and adventure. Bring your stuffed animals and favorite snack to our stuffed theater!

SEWING WITH CIARA

Join Ciara Alexander in creating easy DIY sewing projects at home. If you are a beginner sewer or you are experienced, these workshops are for you. Try something new and start creating!

MUSIC WITH WAYNE

‘MUSIC WITH WAYNE’ features Wayne P. James. He is an established teacher and musician. He comes with years of knowledge to offer fun music tips that anyone can try! Beginner or Advanced music students can learn!
