The Princess and the Frog
The Suffolk Division of Tourism, in partnership with the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts, is pleased to present “The Princess and the Frog” at the Suffolk Center, on Sunday, February 9, 2020, beginning at 2pm. This fun family film is a modern-day retelling of the classic story “The Frog Prince.” Movie fans will get a special treat after the film, as Tiana herself will be stopping by for photos with film attendees. This hilarious tale finds the lives of arrogant, carefree Prince Naveen and hardworking waitress Tiana crossing paths. Prince Naveen is transformed into a frog by a conniving voodoo magician and Tiana, following suit, upon kissing the amphibian royalty. With the help of a trumpet-playing alligator, a Cajun firefly, and an old blind lady who lives in a boat in a tree, Naveen and Tiana must race to break the spell and fulfill their dreams. The talented cast includes Aniki Noni Rose, Keith David, Oprah Winfrey, Bruno Campos, and Jennifer Lewis. This film is rated G and has a running time of 97 minutes. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
