Class Description: Explore painting beautiful landscapes and still life using soft pastels. A pastel is an art medium in the form of a stick, consisting of powdered pigment and a binder. The class will be for the beginner or more experienced painter. The class will introduce the painter to the art of pastels. The different types of pastels and experiment with different types and textures of pastel papers. Fun and relaxed atmosphere. Recommended Materials: Rembrant Soft 1/2 length pastel set. 15 or 30 sticks recommended or bring what you have. Mi-Teintes Canson pastel paper pad. Assorted colors. 9 x 12 or 12 x 16.
