Class Detail: This class is designed for the experienced wheel throwing potter.  Emphasis will be on exploring and developing a series of forms:  lidded jars, nesting bowls, serving sets, casserole sets, etc.  Finishing the items with unique decoration as well as glazing. Limit 6 students.

Class Detail: You have a digital camera, but some of the functions have you stumped! Well, don’t miss those once in a lifetime images. Here we will explore the basics of taking pictures and learn which methods and techniques make for the best photos. Some areas we will cover are: camera body, f-stop, lenses, shutter speed, composition, posing, and flash photography.

Class Detail: Good drawing is the foundation for good art.  If you want a creative outlet, drawing is the perfect place to start.  This class is designed for the person wanting to learn the basics of how to draw or to set aside dedicated time to practice.  There is no prior experience or skill level required.  You will learn how to “see” as an artist, discover your own drawing style, and use form, relationship, and line to become a more accurate and expressive drawer.  The basic supplies are included but feel free to bring your own if desired.

Class Detail: Students will use a 35mm camera to take images using black & white film, receive instruction on developing the film using chemicals to process the negative film in the darkroom, receive instruction on making a print using a darkroom enlarger and chemistry to develop their image on the film to produce a final black & white image on photography paper. Darkroom, film, chemistry, darkroom equipment, enlarger, photographic paper and all necessary darkroom processing equipment will be provided for students use.

Class Detail: Spend one hour creating your very own glass-blown piece of artwork. You will be able to work with a professional glass artist. Neil Duman shows his love for art through his flowing designs of colorful glass. These symmetrical works portray visions of beauty and relaxation that will catch the eye as light projects through them.

*All supplies are provided. There are 2 slots per hour. If you are coming with a friend, please register for the same time slot.

Class Detail: This class is for the homeschool student wanting to include a well-rounded art curriculum to his or her education. This Art Appreciation class includes history, daily life, culture, and of course the art and artists of that time period.   Who could truly appreciate art without trying it, though?  So we spend lots of time trying all kinds of art styles, mediums, and techniques.  The Renaissance is an amazing time of discovery and learning.  Printing presses are making books accessible to more people, encouraging people to learn how to read which opens up the door to so many avenues of learning: from science to religion to literature and of course the arts!  In this 9 week class we will be painting, printing, sculpting, and carving.
