Introduction to Relief Printmaking
Class Description:
Dive into the world of relief printmaking in this engaging 3-hour crash course! Perfect for beginners, this workshop will guide you through the essentials of carving, inking, and printing your own designs. For those who don not wish to create a design from scratch, the instructor will provide a few design choices for you to work with.
You’ll start by transferring a simple design, learn safe carving techniques, and then transform your block into a unique print using traditional hand-printing methods. By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with your own finished prints and the skills to continue exploring relief printmaking on your own.
All materials will be provided. Just bring your creativity!
