Introduction to Mindfulness through Sounds

Class Description: Active mindfulness is the practice of being fully present and engaged in the current moment while participating in an activity, such as exercising or doing household chores. It involves using mindfulness techniques to focus your attention on the activity and your surroundings, rather than letting your mind wander or get distracted.
Mindfulness can help you by improving your ability to focus, reducing stress and anxiety, increasing self-awareness, and promoting emotional regulation. It can also enhance your overall well-being and promote a sense of calm and clarity in your daily life.
You can practice mindfulness by taking deep breaths and focusing on your thoughts and feelings without judgment., It’s like taking a break from your brain.
NOTE: This class occasionally will use singing bowls and other instruments. Due to the vibrations which occur with singing bowls, anyone who has metal in their body (plates, rods, screws) is advised to check with a medical professional before joining this class.
