Before she becomes Cruella de Vil, teenage Estella has a dream. She wishes to become a fashion designer, having been gifted with talent, innovation, and ambition all in equal measures. But life seems intent on making sure her dreams never come true. A chance encounter vaults the wild-running Estella into the world of the young, rich, and famous; however, she begins to question the existence she’s built for herself in London and wonders if she might, indeed, be destined for more after all. The all-star cast includes Emma Stone, Emma Thompson, Mark Strong, and Kirby Howell-Baptiste. This 2021 film is rated PG-13 and has a running time of 134 minutes.

Journalist Rachel Keller investigates a videotape that may have killed four teenagers, including her niece. She discovers the urban legend about the tape: the viewer will die seven days after watching it. If the legend is correct, Rachel will have to run against time to save her son’s and her own life. The cast includes Naomi Watts, Martin Henderson, Brian Cox, David Dorfman, and Daveigh Chase. This 2002 movie is rated PG-13 and has a running time of 115 minutes. No children under 13 will be admitted without an adult.

A young boy named Jason drowns in Camp Crystal Lake in 1957. The next year, two counselors are murdered. In 1980, a descendant of the original owners reopens Camp Crystal Lake with some counselors’ help, but the murders start up again as a mysterious stalker prowls the area. Could it be Jason, out for revenge?   The cast includes Betsy Palmer, Adrienne King, Harry Crosby, Jeannine Taylor, and Kevin Bacon. This 1980 movie is rated R and has a running time of 95 minutes. No children under 17 will be admitted unless accompanied by an adult.

Buster Moon and his friends—Johnny, Meena, Rosita, Gunter, and Ash—have turned the New Moon Theater into a local hit, but Buster has his eyes on a bigger prize: debuting a new show at the Crystal Tower Theater in glamorous Redshore City. But with no connections, Buster and friends must persuade reclusive and broken-hearted rock star Clay Calloway to join them for the opening of a new show, in order to save their reputations. What begins as Buster’s dream of big-time success becomes an emotional reminder of the power of music to heal even the most broken heart. Open Mic has been popular for some time in the downtown Suffolk area.  Suffolk Center is partnering with Wall Street Café to expand Open Mic and collaborate with local businesses. Based upon the popular Showtime at the Apollo, the show features LIVE performances from local professional, up-and-coming artists, and amateur performers. Attendees are encouraged to Cheer & Boo ~ just like the iconic Showtime at the Apollo!

On JUNE 30th from 7-10 PM, Showtime at The Center kicks-off! The evening is hosted by Drinking on Sunday’s ROSHAWN HOLLAND featuring show band TAVARIS POWELL & DA CREW.
