Location: Art Studio A, 3rd Floor at SCCA for the first meeting, then various locations
Ages: Adults
Supplies: If this is your first time Plein Air painting experience, it is recommended that you bring the supplies you have to get started. You may not want to purchase additional supplies until after the first class, as the instructor will go over which materials you may need.
Suggested Supplies: Paints, Oils or Acrylics: Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Red, Cadmium Yellow, Titanium White.
Brushes: Flats or Filburt in #4, #6, and #8.
Canvas Boards: Suggested sizes 1 -2 per class. 8×10, 9×12, 11×14, 12×16.
Palette- Paper pad or wood Brush cleaner for oil paints; container for water for acrylic. Paper towels.

Class Detail: En plein air, or plein air painting, is the act of painting outdoors. This method contrasts with studio painting or academic rules that might create a predetermined look. Definition: denoting or in the manner of a 19th-century style of painting outdoors, or with a strong sense of the open air, that became a central feature of French impressionism.
