Class Detail: Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles primarily breaking which was created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States.

The traditional rhythmic sounds of Western Africa and Eastern Africa will have you feeling lighthearted and energetic. In this hour long class of barefoot beats, the students will find themselves in a cardiovascular engagement and give a therapeutic way to manage stress.

Class Detail: This is a high impact cardiovascular fitness class that is guaranteed to get your blood pumping. You will be smiling and sweating to West African drum beats. In this hour class you will be combining traditional moves and contemporary styles of African dance with drums and Afro-beat music. Please wear comfortable clothes and layers in case you get too hot, and don’t worry about footwear, you won’t need them.

Class Detail: The Suffolk Center Children’s Chorus is starting up again, but this time, with safety precautions in place! We have missed singing together and are looking forward to creating music together again in a safe environment. We will be rehearsing in the Birdsong Theater to allow for ample space to spread out. We will be wearing singers masks at times when we are not able to spread out. We will check temperatures and make sure everyone is healthy before entering rehearsal. This Children’s Chorus is open for all musicians ages 7-17 who enjoy singing and having fun! All singers will learn proper singing techniques, performance etiquette, and singing in harmony with one another. Come join us!
