Class Description: In a relaxed setting you’ll learn the foundations of working with acrylic paint and how they are the simplest and most effective way for an absolute beginner to learn how to paint successfully. The class will teach you color mixing, pallet, brushes different application surfaces and other tools, and leaning to apply acrylic paint in thin layers like watercolors or in thicker, more opaque applications like oil paint. Your class will be up to frameable art you create and can be proud of.
Materials Needed: Acrylic 1 & 2
Acrylic Paint Set
(Inexpensive paints can be used as we learn skills. But, keep in mind they may have a slightly different color value, may be thinner and may be less vibrant.)
Artist Brush Set
1-2 inch brushes (Q -3) Please choose inexpensive large brushes such as contractor wood handle trim type.
WaterColor Paper Journal (11×14)
5 Canvas Boards (9X12 or larger, check dollar trees pkg of 1)
Artist Palette Knife set (check dollar trees pk of 3)
Pallet (wood or plastic)
Acrylic Medium – gloss (sm.)
Gesso (16 oz.)
